Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information CubanPortal ("we", "us" or "the platform", reachable at cuban-portal.com) collects when you use our website, how we use it, with whom we share it and what choices you have. By using CubanPortal you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito (an Amazon Web Services identity service); your password is never stored by CubanPortal directly.

Advertiser contact information. If you publish a property, we ask for the contact details you want to show to interested people: contact name, phone number, WhatsApp number and/or contact email. This information is displayed publicly on your listings — that is its purpose.

Listing content. The information you include in a listing — description, features, price, photos and the location you mark on the map — is public and visible to anyone who visits the site. Property photos are stored on Google Cloud Storage.

Contact requests. Some listings haven't yet verified their contact details with CubanPortal, so those details are not shown publicly. If you request the advertiser's contact on one of those listings, we collect your name, email, phone number and any optional message you write. We use that information only to handle your request: we share it with our team so they can reach the advertiser on your behalf, and we email you if the listing later becomes verified.

Technical and usage data. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically receive technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, used for security, debugging and measuring how the site is used.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to: operate the platform and your account; display your listings and their contact details to visitors; prevent fraud, spam and abuse; respond to your requests and messages; improve the site; and comply with legal obligations that may apply to us.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies and local storage

CubanPortal uses browser local storage to remember your preferences (for example, your language choice) and to keep your session active after signing in. These are necessary for the site to work correctly.

Third parties that provide services on the site — such as advertising or infrastructure providers — may set their own cookies as described below. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; note that blocking all cookies may affect how the site works.

The contact request form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that the person submitting it is human rather than a bot. Turnstile evaluates the request without visual puzzles and does not use advertising-tracking cookies; it may process technical data from your browser under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

4. Analytics (Google Analytics)

CubanPortal uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type — so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information.

We only load Google Analytics with your consent. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies; you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer. Google may process this data as described at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Advertising

CubanPortal displays advertising served by Ezoic, a Google Certified Publishing Partner. Ezoic runs the site’s ad auction and works with demand from several networks, including Google. We work with a single ad provider at a time: no other ad network is active on the site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. These cookies are only set if you accept the advertising category in the consent notice; if you decline it, the ads you see will not be personalized.

We do not run formats that put themselves between you and the content: no pop-unders, no pop-ups, no full-screen interstitials, no redirects on click.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com and from other vendors at www.aboutads.info/choices, and you can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. The full inventory of what is installed is in our cookie policy.

6. How we share information

Public content. Your listings — including photos, location and the contact details you chose to publish — are visible to anyone on the Internet and may be indexed by search engines.

Service providers. We rely on trusted infrastructure providers to run the platform: Amazon Web Services (Cognito) for authentication, Google Cloud Storage for images, Google Firebase for hosting, Google Maps for map display, Google Analytics for site measurement, Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that contact requests come from real people, SendGrid to send the emails related to those requests, and Ezoic for advertising. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights, property or safety of CubanPortal, our users or the public, or investigate fraud or abuse.

7. Data retention and security

We keep your account information while your account exists, and your listings while they are published. You can unpublish a listing or request deletion of your account at any time.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), managed authentication and access controls — to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

You can access and update your profile and contact details from your account at any time. You may also ask us to correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by writing to us at the contact address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children

CubanPortal is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or publish a listing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantial changes will be highlighted on the site. Continued use of CubanPortal after a change means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact

For any question about this policy or about your personal data, write to us at [email protected].
